Mat Class

Mat Pilates Classes are a great way to get in touch with your body. Our Classes focus on creating balance in the body by strengthening the core and postural muscles. Working on co-ordination and stability. They are design to make you feel great. Mat Classes at Centered Movement are small (max 5 clients)

These classes entail exercises mostly performed lying down on the mat. Usually lasting between 45 – 55 minutes, they are ideal for everyone. However, if you have specific injuries, then starting with Pilates Equipment classes may be a better way to start as these are either one-on-one, duets, semi private sessions.

Mat Classes rely on your own body weight to provide the resistance for your muscle to work against. . We will sometimes use small apparatus in the class such as soft balls, resistance bands, magic circles, toning balls, small weights, foam rollers or yoga blocks to assist and enhance the exercises. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class, as late entry is not permitted.​

Midday MOVE:

Reformer Class

Midday Move is an efficient and energising 45-minute session combining Mat and Reformer Pilates, perfect for your midday break.

The lunchtime Reformer Pilates class is ideal for beginners who want some core-strengthening action they can fit into work hours or before you pick up your kids from school. Experience increased core strength, enhanced flexibility, and a burst of midday energy.

They are ideal for everyone. However, if you have specific injuries, then starting with Pilates Equipment classes may be a better way to start as these are either one-on-one, duets, semi private sessions.

Please attend 3 beginner classes (Intro to Reformer) before booking this class.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class, as late entry is not permitted.​

Studio Circuit Class

In each class, experience 55-minutes of mindful movement. Strengthen your core muscles, while stretching all the way from your fingertips to your toes. Grippy socks must be worn in all Circuit classes. And please arrive at least 5 minutes before class, as late entry is not permitted.​

These classes are offered exclusively at Centered Movement. A circuit-style class is a mixed equipment session, using the Mat, Cadillac, Wunda Chair & Reformer. The class is taught by breaking down which exercise is done on each piece of equipment and then moving through each station to work on the apparatus. This class allows you to move with more confidence and ease in every exercise.

We start with Basic Foundation class that will build your stamina and strength, endurance and balance, required in more advanced levels. You cannot train muscles that you cannot connect. So these classes will teach you how to connect your deep support muscles voluntarily, which is the key to faster progressions. You will also learn the basic principles, and proper technique in order to connect the right muscles.Take advantage of this unique studio that offers group classes with only 4 people per class.

Therefore, regardless how advanced you are in your previous pilates practice, we strongly recommend all first-time clients to book into the “INTRO OFFERS” first when booking with us and then jump into our group classes.
